Pastor Basil Monroe

Pastor Basil Monroe has been serving the Lord since December of 1973.  A strong witness, with a burden for souls, he led many families to the Lord in his local church.

He and his family moved to Pahrump in February of 1984 with a desire to establish a church there, Apostolic in doctrine and Apostolic in experience.  Since then, they have led others to worship in their home, in store fronts, in mobile homes and in tents.

Bro Monroe was ordained with the United Pentecostal Church in 2008, and still remains a member in good standing.

In 1992, they began building the Church of Pentecost on Woodchips Street where they remain today.  The church continues to grow under Pastor Monroe's leadership and many find God there and their lives are changed.

 Pastor, James Monroe

Pastor James Monroe received the Holy Ghost at age 7 in the living room of his parent's home mission church in Pahrump, Nevada.  He was then baptized in the neighbor's swimming pool soon after.

God placed a call on his life, and around 2003, he began preaching.  In 2008, God opened the door to evangelize.  For a short time, he preached around the country.  God then laid a different burden upon him to return to Pahrump to assist in the work happening there.  The bus ministry and outreach have been ministries that Pastor Monroe has been responsible for running.  Currently, Pastor & Sis. Monroe run a bus on Sunday mornings and do Children's Church.  Together they have a passion to see young people come on the bus to church and develop spiritually, into saints of God.

Pastor Monroe graduated from Hope International University with an Apostolic School of Theology Bible Ministry Associates Degree, in 2012.
